Attempted to install Windows 7 Pro via BootCamp but first off the “Create a Windows 7 install disk” option was missing.

The fix i found was by editing the info.plist file to enable the “Create a Windows 7 install disk”.

  • Go to Boot Camp Assistant in the finder and right click show package contents.
  • Open it with TextEdit.
  • Scroll down to the string line that says “<key>PreUSBBootSupportedModels</key>”
  • Delete “Pre” from the string,
  • Now launch Boot Camp Assistant

“Create bootable USB” will now be enabled in Boot Camp Assistant!
